ADVANCED GENE MAPPING\LINKAGE COURSE
August 2-6, 2004

Each session will start with a theoretical introduction followed by practical exercises.  Instructors for the course are Laura Almasy, David Clayton, Heather Cordell, Suzanne Leal, Bertram Mueller-Myhsok and Thomas Wienker.  Please feel free to bring your own data sets for discussion and/or analysis.

The course is everyday from 9:00AM- 5:00PM, except on Wednesday when the course will end at 12:30 PM to allow for sightseeing.

Tests of association for quantitative and qualitative traits for
samples of unrelated and related individuals.
Family-based tests of linkage in the presence of association.
Controling for admixture effects by genome-wide analyses
Exercises: Will use the STATA program
