BASIC LINKAGE COURSE

July 8-12, 2002

Instructors for the course will be Jurg Ott, Marcella Devoto, Derek Gordon, Tara Matise, Andy DeWan and Mark Levenstien. We will be using MS-DOS EDIT (provided on the computers) as our text editor. If you wish to use your own editor or word processing program, you may bring it with you on 3-1/2 inch diskettes. Be sure to bring a calculator, and some blank floppy diskettes in case you wish to copy programs and course data files. Also, you may want to bring data sets for discussion and/or analysis.

Textbook for the course: Handbook of Human Genetic Linkage (J.D. Terwilliger and J. Ott, Johns Hopkins University Press, 1994). The Handbook has been reprinted

The course starts at 9:00 am in Room 302 of the Weiss Building on the Rockefeller University campus. Go to main entrance at 1230 York Avenue and 66th Street. The guard will show you where to go.

We'll take a 10-15 minutes break every day in the morning between 10:15 and 11:15, and in the afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00
